1) Gaumukh Tapovan


It is Located in Tapovan at a height of 14640ft above the sea level with its base camp in the Uttaranchal hills. Thousands of tourists visit this place for exotic Trekking experience and mountaineering. Located 18 kms downstream from the Gaumukh is the holy Gangotri. The Ganga water flows down from the glaciers to the Gaumukh. The beauty of Gaumukh Tapovan attracts many tourists for adventurous activities like mountaineering and trekking.

2) Markha Valley

Markha valley takes you in fabulous and attractive views of the Great Himalayan. It has gigantic rock pinnacles, beetling cliffs, slender defiles and prayer-flagged passes. The green oasis of the Markha Valley is guarded by Kang Yatse (6400mts) from east and Zanskar range from the south west.

3) Agumbe

Sringeri trek passing through Narasimha Parvatha is a very famous trekking trail near to Bangalore. Agumbe, being one of the most heavily raining areas in Karnataka, the whole area is densely vegetated and lush green.

Agumbe basically has three types of seasons. One is when it rains so heavily that it is called the Cherrapunji of the South. The other is when the season is very cloudy with clouds hanging over but not raining.

4) Roopkhund Trek

It's got everything going for it. Deep virgin forests, gurgling brooks, breath-taking campsites, miles of undulating meadows, snow and ice, and the taste of a great adventure as you climb from 8,000 ft to 16,000 ft. Trek starts at Lohajung (8,300 ft), a tiny pass, in the heart of the greater Himalayan range, 85 kms from Karanprayag.

It is a treat to the eye to watch these marvellous locations. Trekking begins from the Mundoli village in the eastern Garhwal Himalayas.

5) Kumara Parvata

Popular among the trekkers of Bangalore, it is considered as a trekker's paradise. The journey gives worth every difficulty faced because the end result on reaching the peak is that of witnessing unspeakable beauty and calmness that surrounds this place. The trek starts from Subramanya from where the peak is at a distance of around 15kms. Dense greenery will give way to a little flatter pathway.

The peak is at a height of 1712m and the best way to start the journey to Kumara Parvata is to first reach Subramanya which is about 230kms from Bangalore.

6) Dodital Trek


Dodital is surrounded by lush greenery with crystal clear water makes this place as an ultimate destination for the travelers and sightseers. At an elevation of 3307 meters above mean sea level, in the north of Uttarakashi is a precise trekking destination and also holds potential for other adventure sports.

The lake is famous for its Himalayan trout, the exoticness rendered by surrounding forest and tranquility provided by the calm waters of the lake. Apart from a display of natural beauty there is an array of diversity in culture and heritage for which India is known for ages.

7) Nubra Valley Trek

The Nubra Valley Trek is also called as 'the valley of flowers' it's about 10,000 ft. above the sea level. The main attraction in this area is Bactarian double hump Camels around sand dunes, Deskit & Samstanling monasteries and Khardung la Pass 18,380 feet above sea level.

The Nubra Valley is also the gateway to the largest glacier in the World, The Siachen Glacier. The valley is bordered by the Karakoram Range and Pass in the North.
